Block of Units- Chatswood
I chose to include this building because I think it shows the huge contrast in Architectural styles and well as the needs of society and the technology advances since the construction of this unit block and the construction of buildings such as the ‘The Harbour Rocks Hotel’ and Terrace houses. Its purpose being solely for accommodation and as much of it in the littlest space possible. The Brick high-rise, although made possible through advances in technology, is starkly ugly and makes no attempt to blend with its surrounds. The identical units have been stripped down to the bear minimum of its structural components required to make it stand.

Exposure Environment- Mild Environment
Masonry Units- Protected
Mortar- M2
(Mild Environment = Environments remote from the coast, industrial activity and the tropics.)
