Terrace House- Devonshire Pl, The Rocks

Terrace House- The Rocks

This brick terrace house has used different shapes, sizes and coloured bricks to create a decorated exterior to the front façade of the house. Being the main entrance the door and windows and lined with a décor of white, red and brown bricks, placed at different angles and sizes. However when looking at the side of the house I found it interesting to see the solid brick wall, with only two small windows punched into the wall. I would assume that this wall would usually be a connecting wall with another terrace. This was the way of saving space during the 19th Century, instead of going up, they jammed as many buildings together as possible!
